THE RIEJU TEAM COMPLETES THE PROLOGUE STAGE WITHIN THE TOP30

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Saturday, January 2, 2021.- The Dakar 2021 has started strongly in the port city of Jeddah, 11 kilometers that define the starting order of the first special. The Rieju Team, debutants in the Elite category that brings together 103 motorcyclists, has finished the stage with a 22nd position for Oriol Mena (6.39 ”) and a 28th for Joan Pedrero (6.56 ").

The riders have started this 43rd edition with a very good feeling. Oriol Mena has been satisfied with “the result, the bikes, the sensations and the general feeling. And although it is obviously still very early, this first classification will set the tone".

On the other hand, rookie Marc Calmet arrived in 64th position in his debut in the Marathon category (8:35 ”). The toughest rally raid in the world is presented this edition with 7,646 kilometers of route and 4,767 timed specials, a challenge that will take the drivers to 622 km in the special category, from Jeddah to Bisha, on the first day of competition.

RIEJU ALLOWS TO LIVE THE EXPERIENCE FROM WITHIN
For the first time, a brand participating in the Dakar Rally incorporates a sports influencer into his team, who transfers all the details of the event to his more than 150,000 followers so that they can discover how the Dakar is lived from within. Dressed up with several GoPro cameras and different mobile devices, the athlete @willy_foxx will reveal the day-to-day life of the Rieju Team pilots by broadcasting daily scenes from the base camp such as the team meetings after the stage, the pilots' group dinners, your breaks or the wonderful sunsets that the desert has in store for you.
